Children's Eyecare - Eye tests for Kids
Having poor eyesight at an early age can potentially hinder your child’s development. It's important for your optometrist to detect and correct any deficiencies. We would suggest a full eye examination be carried out when your child reaches 3 years of age. This should be followed up with periodic check-ups as your child grows.
Symptoms to look out for could be your child complaining that things are blurry or hard to see. Or may find it difficult to copy or read words at school.
If you are concerned about your child's eyesight please make an appointment as soon as possible. Eye tests should be a normal part of a child's health routine just like dental check-ups.
Child eye tests are FREE with the NHS and our optometrist would be more than happy to examine your child’s eyes, no matter how young they are. Additionally a FREE range of children’s glasses are available under the NHS. We also stock a comprehensive range of kids glasses should you wish to upgrade.
Free quotes and initial consultations are available
